As it should be

I went with some friends to a charity concert last night. Palya Bea played, and she sang beautifully. Around the hall were paintings by children (mostly Roma) from a poor village in the East of Hungary. These kids live in deep poverty, are often underfed, and live in families with some of the most difficult problems.

But as you can see from the examples of the paintings they make in school, they can imagine a world full of colour, beauty, magic, and joy.

Until we can give them the world they imagine, the world they deserve, then we will have failed them.

These are incredible. The top one reminds me of Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’
